Always replacing X with Y without changing anything else |
OK, this seems like a simple question but I'm mildly proficient in ZMUD code and I can find no way to do this..
In my mud noone has displayed names, they always show up as: "A tall, dumb-looking person" (etc)
So when I learn someone's name, I want to have it so that whenever I recieve the string "A tall, dumb looking person" it is replaced with "Dumbface"... wether it be "A tal, dumb looking person is here" or "A tall, dumb looking person slices at you with his shourtsword." or "You spit on a tall, dumb looking person".
Is there any possible way I could do this with triggers etc?
I want it to keep its textual color, and I don't want it to otherwise distrub the color/format of the line it is on.
HELP!! :-) |

Have you tried using #SUB?

| #TR {a tall, dumb looking person} {#SUB Dumbface} |

if its a script or something, copy it and paste it in notepad, click edit, then, replace and continue on
