using a CASE, i think |
a few months ago, someone provided me with a small alias which allowed me to get specific things when i typed "who family"... i believe it was using a case, but my computer crashed and I have lost all of my old scripts. if someone would be so kind as to provide the basic structure of such an alias... i would be greatful... basically, it was for when i typed who with an arguement it would perform a certain action based on the arguement, and would just do a normal "who" if no arguement was given, i believe it was using a case, but I am not sure

Perhaps to keep things clearer a nested #IF would be better:
Alias: who
Value:
#IF (%numparam() > 0) {
#IF (%-1 = "family") {~who family} {
#IF (%-1 = "tossing") {~who dwarf} {
#IF (%-1 = "guilds") {~who guilds}
{#ECHO Who~: Unrecoqnized parameter}
}
}
} {~who}

thanks, but no thanks =p don't mean to be rude, but the other method was much easier, if it had an arguement that matched, it did what i told it, if not, it did what i typed in, and it was much easier to stick in and remove things from

A novel idea would be to fully describe what you want to do..
Obiviously my mind reading skillz are poor.
