Returning a value from a user-defined function

In many programming language, you can return a variable back to the program in a function. Is there any way to achieve this in ZMUD?

You can create your own functions, but these functions may not contain any zMUD commands, only zMUD functions. However, you could create an alias which performs whatever you want to do and stores its results in a variable. The calling script would read this variable to find out the result.
