Wine 20020804 and zmud 6.16 sorry for being generalized. Big problem with wine every now and again triggers, alias, macro's crash it. Vmware 3.1 seems to work flawless.

Thanks.
Hmm, Do you use the Automapper? Had problems starting anything that required an extra window (settings editor, automapper etc.), but then I'm using wineX von transgaming (latest version from the cvs, whatever that is)
Yes, VMware works wonderfully, luckily.. But you still need a windows version for that.
(BTW: I couldn't get the newer betas to run, as I can't install mdac under wine, have you tried it?)

almost every time i have installed a beta with wine it never works and if it does there is just way to many errors, and yes anything that pops up another window normaly causes and error. with vmware i just setup 95 on a virtual host that way you do not realy have it installed its contained within a single file within linux. Zmud is the only reason i got vmware just could not stand to not have zmud none of the linux mud clients can hold a candel stick to it!

What I meant was, that you need (unless you do it illegally..) a legal, paid, registered, Windows version for VMWare..
Wine doesn't require one.
So, "works great with no probs" means, the standard version works, as long as you don't need the automapper, editor, or settings-editor.
I think I'll have to play around with it again..

version 5.x seemed to work fine with wine but 6.x seems to have a few problems i cant figure out why the pop windows seem to randomly crash it it does not happen all the time just about 80% of the time. I have a few friends that are helping solve the pop windows problems. i will keep you posted sorry for being vauge with the first few posts.
