GSL Triggers |
In the game I'm playing, Dragonrealms by name, this character is used to relay certain information. They provide a Wizard interface to connect to the game which uses this character to display graphically certain information. Now, what I want to do is to try and tell the mapper what the room description is based on this information, so for example;
GSo
[The Crossing, Oralana Ramble]
GSp
GSH
You are traveling just inside the eastern town wall. Mosses, grasses, and weeds blooming with brilliant wildflowers grow between the road and the wall, climbing right up along the surface of the earthen rampart itself. The way bends to the southwest, and continues straight north toward the northeastern gate.GSI
GSjAF
Obvious paths: north, southwest.
Now, the GSH is always there on that line before the room description, and the GSI there at its end. So what I have set up is a trigger like so;
#TRIGGER RoomPara {GSH} {@RoomDesc = ""; #TEMP {GSI} {#STATE RoomPara 0}}
#COND {} {#ADDITEM RoomDesc %line} {LoopLines|Param=99}
Anyone know whats not exactly working with this? It just doesn't seem to stop at the GSI but keeps going. It may have something to do with the character, since I can't type it but have to cut and paste it. Anybody know anything about this?

Your answer may lie in MXP tags to delineate the room information:

The detailed example at the end of the page may be of use. You don't have to define your own elements, just #SUB in the tags. I'm not able to throw a script together at the moment but I might be able to later if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Exactly how do you #SUB in the tags? Do you declare the element in the trigger, or is the element already declared?
