zmud problem please help.

when I am in the mud I lag 30 to 45 sec that not really the bad part. After being in the mud for lets say 30 to 40 min I get stuck then zmud disconnect and it will take me 1 to 3 tries to get it to connect again. it started doing that ever since I got a new computer with windowxp and it's do that in every muds. Everything else works ok. My friend has no problems, so it's not the muds either. If anyone could help me, I would be extremely greatful. Thank you.

Sounds like it might be a new twist on an old problem. Windows XP shipped with a bad default driver for most ethernet cards. This problem really only evidences itself when large numbers of small packets are being transferred, as occurs with the telnet protocol. Check the website of your card manufacturer for updated drivers.
