Uninstall/Re-Installing CMud? |
Hi again...
I've made a mess of things with my default packages and such... it seems the system is trying to log me in twice at the same time.
Rather than even mess with trying to fix it, I would like to uninstall CMud and do a clean re-install with the basic settings and just rebuild from there, but when I try it, it seems there are registry keys and such that make it "remember" the old install.
What's the best way to completely wipe out the old install so I can start over? It might be there, but I couldn't find details for such a task in the KB.
Thanks in advance! |

The registry is only used to record registration details (this is so that if you end up uninstalling and reinstalling you don't have to go back to the zuggstore to request another 7-day license code), and I assume path locations. It doesn't handle anything else like what packages to include in a default session. So long as you run the uninstaller and delete any leftover folders, your computer will be in the same state as from before you installed CMud.

Okay, I definitely failed to delete the "leftover folders".
Is there a listing of which folders are created so I can clear them? I was hoping the uninstaller would perform this (or at least offer the option to do it) automatically. |

And now I'm also getting an error message "Requested database driver was not found." in the re-installed version. I'm pretty sure that was not supposed to happen and shouldn't be caused from how I tried to uninstall...

There are only two folders created:
CMud (CmudPro, if you bought that version), which by default is installed to Program Files
CMud, which by default is installed to My Games
Other than the registry fields, everything the installer does is kept in these two folders. |

Thanks for the help - that was my issue. The database driver issue went away too; not sure what was up with that. I was even lucky enough to save off an XML of my scripts and it imported correctly, so it seems I'm all set now.
