I just need a lil help with the mapper.
 
The config that the automapper does automaticly works well in one room, then as soon as I go to the next room it doesnt work at all.

Here is the first room:

Outside The Prancing Pony
A mossy archway leads into the three-story inn on the east-side of
The Great Road. Swinging over the archway, an ancient and weathered wooden
sign designates this inn as the famous Prancing Pony, renowned locally for
its fine ale and friendly conversation. Steps lead up to the north to Mirkwood
Academy. A map of Bree is posted on a nearby bulletin board.

ok, so the mapper says
Name: paragraph 1 line 0
description: paragraph 1 line 1
Exits: para. 0 line 0 (exit line contains key "exit")

ok so that room seems to work minus the sign in the desription :(

next room:

The Corner of Elderberry and Tarragon
The road is worn here, deeply rutted by wagon wheels and heavy boots.
Moss and lichen grow between the stone slabs that pave the road and wildflowers
grow in narrow patches on either side. To the east on Elderberry shop signs
pitch rations and traveling equipment. Tarragon Lane stretches to the north.
The three-storied Prancing Pony stands to the southwest.

[Exits: north east southwest]
A village constable eyes you closely.
A caravan leader is here, looking for customers.
A village constable says 'Move along! Move along!'

so I had to reconfig to get this room to load,
Name: para 0 line 0
Desription: para 0 line 1
Exits: para 0 line 7????

This one works fine in this room, and picks up the exits in other rooms, but the names in all the other rooms get turned into the exit line, and the description doesnt get loaded...

ok one more room to check out, then you can try to help me make a config that will work correctly with all of them.

Stonecrop Avenue
The fleshy leaves and bright yellow flowers of mossy stonecrop cover
the ground, slowly insinuating themselves between the very cobblestones of the
road itself. Off to the side juts up a slab of rock, covered in now-flowering
molds and fungi. The roots of an old weeping willow caress the base of the
old rock as gentle fingers caress a lover. Thick, lush growth encircles the
roots like rings covered in verdigris.

This one works in most other rooms.. but only like 50% of the time.

I just need one config that will work with all the rooms. It doesnt seem to be that hard, but I dont understand how the mapper picks up the paragraphs (color?? because each is in a different color to begin with),
I do understand that it picks them up in "reverse" from the way you read them, but other than that Im confused.
Please help me!!

I still really want to map this mud. It shouldn't be too difficult to make the mapper work... I just don't understand the zscript enough to write the triggers.
I was thinking about using the natural colors of the MUD to tell it where to get its information.

The Name is the normal bright green (bold green), and the exits are the shade darker green (green).
The description itself is grey (white). not bold white.

Everything else has its own color too, so I dont think its gonna get confused.


So, I've heard some stuff about using the triggers to relay the information into the information boxes on the room, but I honestly cant figure it out. Especially when it comes to exits.

If someone would please help me make a config for the mapper or write the stuff that I need to map this I would be in your debt. I have been wanting to map this mud for almost 8 years now.

I would try auto-config on the signless rooms, and simply using #NOMAP on the sign graphics. Not sure if the sign graphics will still interfere with the config after being #NOMAPed, though, so you may need to use #TAG triggers for the room info (which you should be able to use colors with).
