Micro$haft only support for online help file? |
The nifty Java applet that holds the index for the online help file does not work in Mozilla 1.2.1 or the latest 1.2b. It loads the TOC applet successfully but the index pane is blank. If you click around you can get things to show up but nothing is clickable. If you refresh everything disappears, you will have to randomly click around again to get any topics. The actual error seems to be nullpointerexceptions.
It also does not work with Opera 7.0 Beta 2 with JRE 1.3.0_01 or 1.4, or any other browser that uses Sun's JRE. If you point IE to Sun's Java, it doesn't work either.
It does seem to work with Microsoft Java.

Just so you know, it frequently doesn't work for me with Micro$haft Internet Exploder 6, either.
So don't feel so bad.

Sorry, but I didn't write this tool. It is from the ForeHelp HTML system that I use to write my help files. And since the company that makes this product went out of business last year, their products have been discontinued. I don't have the time to convert the help files to any other tool, and since the existing tool works for most users, I'm not that concerned.
If your browser can't handle the Java applet, then just look at the help file from within zMUD itself.
This web site is only tested with Internet Explorer. I don't have the time or resources to test with other browsers.
