zSock error 2:10055

When I try to connect to any mud using the free version of Zmud, I get the zSock error 2:10055.
The mud cannot be connected to; it simply stops connecting and displays the 'zSock error 2:10055' message at the bottom in the gray bar.

It's not a mud problem because I can connect to the same muds with Telnet (which is quite lousy though).

Could anyone help me with this problem?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot but I still can't get Zmud to work...
I've turned off the first firewall but get the same error. Looks like I'm resigned to using Telnet...
Right now I'm trying to use other versions of Zmud to try ..whatever works!

Thanks a lot for the help, though
