trigger problem

I recently tried to make a trigger where the pattern contains parentheses () to capture some text... the text would be something like (OOC) Bob: Blah blah blah... but the trigger doesnt recognize the parentheses or something... can anyone help?

The parentheses are special characters. To use them as normal characters, put a ~ in front of them.
