You need to provide some more information to get useful help. What version of zMUD are you using? Is this a new install or did it start when you installed a new version? Are you running Win2000 as Administrator (or another user with Administrator priveleges)? Have you scanned for viruses lately? Have you stopped any services (LicCtl needs to be running)?

im experiencing the same problem with both both versions 6.16 and 6.26beta
they used to work and now they both install properly but refuse to launch on execution
(i have in fact paid for the program)
also: ive gone through the registry and removed all keys with zmud, zugg, elicense, and viatech in them, this doesnt seem to change my result.. but this is odd because it should be basically resetting configs to before it was installed.
this is under winxp 2600
on my new-ish athlon 1800+
p.s. when will the site work in non internet explorer browsers? =]
thanks |

Win2k requires that you install and run zmud first as an administrator (either the Administrator user, or any user with Administrator priveleges, in my own experience).
Give that a try and see what happens.
As for the site, don't hold your breath. With 85% of the browser market, IE is what designers design for. If AOL hadn't dropped the ball and delayed netscape for so long, things would be different. I'm quite enamored with the latest Mozilla, but the damage is already done.

i have done that before, and it actually used to work.. im pretty sure itd work fine if i do an os reinstall.. but im not up for the task since i have like 70GB to burn first. damned 80GB dont last as long as they seem like they should.
this main user has all admin rights and i have an admin user as well..
the program has run like a charm in the past but suddenly stopped - who knows why...
just seems to me like a fault in xp or something really simple that im missing |
