Installing Cmud again and finding old settings |
I have just installed Cmud 3.34 again and I think I have my old settings somewhere on a HDD.
Q:
1. When I make a new Session, what settings should I look for?
2. Is there an extensionname for only the settings (aliases, triggers etc.) and not all including layout, windows an such? |

1)What do you mean, what settings should you look for? CMud doesn't automatically create any settings for new sessions, other than the necessary window object needed to anchor the layout.
2)the datafile file extensions that CMud uses are:
.pkg -- this is an SQLite3 database file that contains settings definition data
.xly -- this is, I think, also an SQLite3 db file. It contains everything regarding window states (open, closed, position, etc)
.dbm -- this is an SQLite3 db file containing CMud version 3 map info
.zfg -- configuration settings for the mapper
.tbr -- this file contains information about the toolbars you can customize in CMud (it won't exist until you actually customized it)
.cfg -- this file contains preferences and system-level data (ie, if the status window is open or not) about CMud |

Thanks for fast reply :)
I have now made the new session.
How do I import my settings? (alias, triggers etc.)
I remember back when I used Zmud, it was just File>open in the settingswindow and then locate the settingsfile called mud. |

you should be able to use the .pkg file directly, if not, open the .pkg file under a blank session, and export them to XML, then open your new session and import from xml
