Visibility of directions in settings tree

It seems that directions become invisible in the settings tree whenever "Show default packages" is disabled, whichever package the directions are actually in.

For 3.22 at least, it seems to me directions ONLY show in the Package Editor Tree when I explicitly do View->Show->Directions every I time I switch to a package, regardless of whether Show All button is clicked, or Show Default packages is disabled or enabled.

I think this means we are supposed to use the dialogue, View->Directions, from now on. It's a bug if Zugg says it is.. since Directions have its own dialogue

It sometimes does that for me, too.. But only sometimes. I tried to work out what what caused that, but couldn't..
Try closing the settings editor and opening it again, you might find the settings visible with show all and show default packages enabled.

You are correct that Directions are normally hidden in the Package Editor. Since the Package Editor is more about editing *scripts* and Directions do not have any Scripts associated with them, you are supposed to use the View/Directions dialog for them. As dbosst mentions, to display Directions in the Package Editor you need to explicitly use View/Show/Directions.

Then my bug is not that they aren't appearing when they should be, but that they are appearing when they shouldn't be. Confused

Can you give details on how to reproduce this? Preferably from a blank session?
