f7 spellcheck troubles

Hello! I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me with a problem I've been having with cmud.
I want to bind a macro to f7, but f7 runs the spell check every time it is pressed. In preferences I made sure that I have 'allow any key to be a macro' selected. Is there another way to stop f7 from running the spell check? |

There should be another option, something about overriding shortcuts.
