[3.05] Scrollback buffer size in child windows |
It does not seem to be possible to set a different buffer size for my child windows. I like to have about 20k lines for my main window, but for my combat-summary info and ascii map display window, there's not point in it being larger than about.. 100 lines. Changing the window size while it autowraps is a long process when the buffer is large, and so it would be an advantage if I could drastically reduce the buffer size (since I tend to resize that window often.)
You can open the prefs for that window, but if you change the scrollback size, it changes it for all windows. |

Wow.. I didn't realize when this changed. I could swear it was a per window setting when we got the new interface, but it is under session. Zugg will have to weigh if this is by design.

That is actually correct. With the window docking system in CMUD, all windows are equal and there isn't any concept of a "child window" anymore. So that's why the option isn't available in CMUD and hasn't been for a long time. In old versions of CMUD, the option still existed in the Preferences, but didn't actually have any effect. I'll consider allowing you to change the scrollback amount for each window individually in the future, but it will be a property of each window that you'll have to set and not any sort of global "child window" setting.
