[3.04 Bug] Selecting first exit row in room properties isn't available |
1. Make a room.
2. Make 4 exits
3. Go to Room Properties
4. Select the exits tab.
5. Select the first exit. Nothing is displayed.
6. Select the second exit row, From and To are populated.
7. Select the first exit row again, From and To will be populated.
This is causing some problems for me because I cannot just change the link number now via room properties box. It doesn't even seem like I can do %roomlink from the command line. I hope this can be a quick fix, because this has a serious problem tendency.

Confirmed and added to bug list. But it's not that serious since as you mentioned in step 7, you just need to click on a different row and then back on row one to select it.
This doesn't have anything to do with %roomlink. The command line is completely separate from the Room Properties window. %roomlink executes on the current Location object. Use #LOC on the command line to see what your current location object is. That's the location that %roomlink will act with. If you are having problems with %roomlink, please create a separate post with the procedure to reproduce the problem. |

The problem is when rooms only have one exit, and you need to edit it. I couldn't even delete the exit that I was working on at the time. As far as roomlink goes, I was meaning that when I tried %roomlink(%roomvnum,w,-1) it still wouldn't delete the direction simply because I couldn't select it in Room Properties. I wound up having to create a new link, delete the old one, and delete the new one (it worked that way because the field was already populated.

The selection problem is fixed for 3.05.
But as I said, this has nothing to do with %roomlink. %roomlink doesn't care if anything is selected...it doesn't even care if the room properties are open. So if %roomlink isn't working to delete a room, then this is a different problem. And as I said, I need you to report this in a new thread along with a procedure to reproduce it. I just tried using %roomlink here to delete an exit and it worked fine. It's possible it might not be updating the room properties window if it's open.
When using %roomlink, be sure the map is in Map mode (edit mode). I just did:
#CALL %roomlink(,s,-1)
to delete a link from the south of my current room and it worked fine here. |

Ah, I get it now.
Weird, though, because the map was unlocked, and it wouldn't delete the exit for me on just that one exit. Everything else, it did. *shrug* Oh well. Glad you got this fixed, too.
