[3.03a] Bug: clicking on main window giving focus but not cursor control |
If I open the PE, then click back to the main window, the command line is not given keyboard focus. It appears to; the text in the command line is highlighted and in previous versions of CMUD I could now type into it.
Not now though. Now, typing does nothing. I have to click onto the command line, which deselects the text. I now need to get rid of that text before typing.
Only minor I know, but in my opinion its an ease of use feature that deserves to be fixed if possible. |

I have had this happen to me as well, usually just swapping to another application and back will fix it. Its most noticeable right after i reboot when i open cmud first and have nothing to swap too.

I experience this as well from time to time, but I've been unable to get a reproducible way for Zugg to see this. Can you get this to happen repeatably? If so then give a set of instructions and Zugg can see about fixing this.

1. Open PE
2. Click on a setting somewhere, or even just one of the tabs to view a package.
3. Click back to main window without closing PE. Do this by just clicking anywhere in the main window.
4. The fault is now in effect.
That procedure works every time. It has occasionally happened at other times that made no sense in a reproducable way, but only very rarely. The above causes it every time for me though. |

I can't reproduce it as you have it in your post. Can you get this to be repeatable if you start from a blank session? As a last resort, perhaps if we can't isolate it you can send your package to Zugg for him to inspect it.

This is often an indication of a messed up window layout, where the command line toolbar gets docked to the main parent window instead of to the specific MUD window. The easiest way to fix this is to hold down the SHIFT key and click on the Open Offline action. That will reset the window and toolbar layout. Then you can redock your windows the way you need.
