Is there any way to set a value in a database say true/false through a trigger received?

Alright.... I have that fairly well situated but another problem has come up. I seem to have trouble referring to a stringlist with the @StringName... for example

#loopdb @slicecurecheck {#if (%val=1) {#if %key=@liverCures {#echo Use Liver}}}

I basically want to check to see if the Word which in this case is the key matches a part of a specific stringlist and if they do match cause it to execute a certain command. Though I may certainly be going about this entirely the wrong way.
