Any ETA for next CMUD version?

Zugg, do you plan to update/bugfix 2.XX CMUD any time soon?

I'm particularly interesting in resolving this problem
[2.37] HTML logging broken?
because it prevents me from making colored (fully) logs.
If 2.XX is stale for a while, I can use 3.XX beta if the fix comes there.

The versions after 2.37 might already contain your fix, or it might come in the future - have a look at the version history.

The 2.37 version is probably the last 2.xx version. New bug fixes will be in the 3.xx versions. But the focus on 3.xx right now is in the mapper, so other general bug fixes like this won't be added for a while yet, sorry. Stay tuned to the Beta forum for new version releases. I'm generally releasing a new beta version every month. But I need to work on the web site in January to make it PCI compliant for the credit card companies, and that will delay some of the work on the new CMUD version for a bit longer. I don't post specific release dates though.

You might want to go back to your HTML logging post and look for a workaround. Since the bug only effects commands such as #COLOR, you might want to stick to color names (of which there are *many* color names defined...see %colorname help topic for full list), or try using a #SUB command with MXP color. There should be a way to workaround the problem until it can be fixed.

I tried the latest 3.03(?) beta and the bug is still there.
Any workaround ideas are welcome!

color names listed in %colorname have the same issue,
SUB+MXP tag will require to replace all #COLOR instances in my "huge" set of aliases/triggers.

I'm thinking to try older versions. Do we have any kind of storage from where I could download previous 2.xx versions?

Trying older versions won't help at all. If it's a bug in this version, chances are it's a bug in earlier versions. However, if you feel you must try an older version, go to:

http://www.zuggsoft.com/files/cmudxxx_setup.exe

where xxx is the version numer (like 237 for 2.37)

Anyway, good luck. And if the site above doesn't work, it's something similar to it.

Older versions are not going to work either. The HTML logging is a relatively new feature. I do not know of any older version that had HTML logging where your problem would work. The problem is that it's a bug in how the HTML log is computed from the screen text.

Also, keep in mind that older versions have other bugs that could corrupt your scripts and mess up your package files. So please do not give links for older versions to people...it will just cause them to get more messed up.

Thanks for letting me know that other color names still have the same issue. I didn't get that from your other thread. I'll bump this a bit higher on the priority list, but it's still going to be over a month until a new version of CMUD, sorry.
