I am having some problems with my command line in just one session. |
I was using this session fine every time I open it up it loads command line and default buttons etc.
I closed that session and switch to another session to play a different character, that session opened up fine.
Finished with that character and went to open up the other session again, I opened it up and the command line disappeared, i right clicked on the window, went to options, show command line, and only my buttons showed up, the command line is nowehre to be seen and i cant seem to get a new command line loaded, I think the command line is there somewhere because for a second i had it popped up in the middle of the screen and i was typing in it but i want to move it back down onto the toolbar at the bottom of the screen or whatever but it wouldnt click and drag I have no idea and i dont feel like deleting this session and rewriting all my scripts over again if someone can please tell me how to find my command line and drag it back onto the bar at the bottom of the window that would be great thanks. |

You dont have to rewrite your scripts just because you delete your session... Alternativly you can hold down shit and right click and chose offline to reset the layout for that sessions... should do the trick

Normally you should report this kind of problem in the main CMUD Discussion Forum. This forum is only for discussion of *beta* versions of CMUD.
Anyway, to fix your problem, run CMUD and then hold down the SHIFT key and then click on the Open Offline action for your session. This will rebuild a clean layout file for your session and should fix the command line problem and dock it to the bottom of the window again. |

hmmmm... you can try resetting your layout. If you hold down Shift while opening your session offline to see if that helps.
You can also try turning off command line in the package editor explicitly saving then turning it back on again. In the absolute worst case scenario you can export all you scripts and settings to XML, create a new session and then re-import the XML for you scripts.
You didn't mention what version you were using, so be sure to mention that the next time you post. |

Actually, easiest way without having to reset the layout is unlock the layouts, drag your main window by clicking on the caption bar away from the program window, then drag your command line to the bottom of your main window to attach it. Afterwards, drag your main window back to the program. At least, that is what I do when my command line gets stuffed up. It's my own fault, though, so no worries about that.

Charneus: That procedure doesn't always work if your command line gets really screwed up. Using the SHIFT trick is the only way to reliably fix command line problems like this in all cases. In the case that dramin posted, he doesn't even have a command line that he can drag to another window.

That is true, about it not working all the time. Mine works simply because all I do is accidentally click the tiny space that allows you to undock the toolbar, but does so so briefly that it's back in place, but spread across the entire screen (including under child windows) instead of just the main. I know it's nothing you can fix, either, or so you've said in the past.
However, dramin stated that he sees the command line for a brief second in the middle of the screen, which leads me to believe that the command line is there, just underneath the main window, which is why I've suggested my idea. It could be confirmed that it's there if he tries to type in commands. Just a thought.
