Zugg Software :: View topic - [2.28] Exception: Control " has no parrent window.

I am playing Achaea and since I updated to 2.27 and now 2.28 I get this error message whenever I enter the editor mode (of my personal journal or for writing newsboard messages in the mud).

When this happens all I can do is kill Cmud and restart the program. When I try to continue I can send commands to my mud but I never get any reaction of the mud after this happens so it looks like my command are no longer sent to the mud.

Does anybody know a way to fix this or some sort of workaround to enable me to use my personal journal again or write newsboard posts again?

Yep, this was already reported in the CMUD Beta Forum here: http://forums.zuggsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=31066

I told the poster that bugs in public versions should be reported in this main forum rather than in the beta forum just because of double-post issues like this. So you had no way to know that this was a known bug.

No workaround that I'm aware of except for turning off the ATCP support in your session preferences, but I should have this fixed in the next version due this week (hopefully tomorrow).

Zugg, why not lock the Beta Forum until you release a Beta? That way, people will be forced to post to the the main board.

Because the beta forum is still used to bump or confirm older bugs that were reported in the beta version to let me know if they are fixed in the public version.

In this specific case, I moved the ATCP Compose bug report from the Beta forum into this main forum so we can continue the discussion of the bug there.
