Mac os |
i have always used windows for an operating system but more and more i have been wondering about mac. with the release of vista i've kinda threw in the towel with windows and decided to try the new MAC OS X leopard and so far its amazing, but i'm having trouble finding a mud client. so that brings me to my question..is there a way to make zmud work with mac. and if not, are there any plans for this in the future.

To my knowledge there is no way to make zMud work with a Mac unless its running under Parallels (or similar software). I don't think there's any who's tried that with Mac OS X although there's been some work with Linux, Wine and similar emulators.
zMUD is feature complete so no new development is occurring for it. CMUD the next generation client probably also will not be useable under Mac OS X natively since it's developed with the Delphi platform and optimized for Windows XP/Vista. |

It can be run on Mac and Linux using Crossover. Sometimes in Linux on certain resolutions this messes up the zMUD window, but thats easy to remedy. Not sure how it affects it on the Mac OSX.

zMUD runs fine in Parallels, though it's not nearly as fast as it would be if run natively. There is definite display lag.
