I can't remember whether it is supposed to work or not. If it isn't supposed to work then it shouldn't trash my variable.
1. Launch CMud
2. Close Sessions window (ESC)
3. Enter at command line

| $var="a|b|c";#SHOW %pop($var) '$var' |
You will notice that the pop returns nothing, but it also sets the variable to null. |
