Local Echo not working |
I'm trying to enable echoing of my commands and such to the MUD window both when I type a command and when a script executes. I enabled both "Local echo" from the Session tab of Preferences as well as "Echo commands" from Scripting as well. However I don't see the commands echo'd. Am I doing something else wrong?
Using version 2.14a. |

The "Echo commands" is the option that you want to enable. The "Local echo" is for using Telnet in Character mode when you are typing directly into the MUD window.
If "Echo commands" is enabled, then anything you enter into the command line the is sent to the MUD will be echoed using the "Command echo" style in the Style preferences. For example, in a blank session I typed "hello world" on the command line, and "hello world" was echoed in yellow in the MUD window.
CMUD does not echo internal CMUD scripting commands. For example, if you typed the command "#SAY test" on the command line, then only "test" is shown on the screen...it won't even echo the "#SAY..." part.
Anyway, it's working fine here, so there isn't any known bug causing this. |

Ah, good thing you added the second part about style in the Style preferences. Somehow it imported over weird and ended up black on black, effectively invisible until I changed the color back to yellow.

Oh, black on black from the import. I think Zugg said that is on his bug list, you might want to dig through the beta forum for a while since you are using a beta version and read some of the current reports. Also you might want to find my old report about fonts and colors importing wrong and give it a bump if needed.
