[2.11]one-way exits punt menu shortcuts (ie, CTRL-G) context back to main window |
1)CTRL-G in the mapper merges overlapping rooms.
2)CTRL-G in the main window brings up the Package Editor.
When working with rooms that have a one-way exit attached to them, where #1 is supposed to happen #2 happens instead. #1 works properly if the exits are 2-way, have doors, or are stubs.
Similar results probably happen for other menu shortcuts, with those not having a main-window counterpart not doing anything.
I figure this will have to wait for the mapper rewrite, though if it's simple enough to fix sooner thought I'd let you know. |

Yep, you have to wait for the mapper rewrite. This is a side effect of having the mapper docked to the main window, and Windows gets confused as to which menu is active and which shortcut to use. Also, there are several places where the mapper tells the main MUD window to be focused, and when that happens, Ctrl-G will certainly open the settings editor because the mapper is no longer the active window.
It actually shouldn't have anything to do with whether a room has one-way exits or not. The menu system has no way to know about that. |
