I'm not seeing anything like this. Sounds more like a network issue to me. CMUD can't effect your other programs like that, so it sounds more like your network card driver is having a timeout or is causing your system to hang for a bit. You might try updating the driver for your network card.

Are you talking about the EVENT or the alias? If you're using the alias, you shouldn't be. The new #EVENT system should handle this. I'm not seeing any problems with this.
Are you having any other connectivity issues? |

Try reinstalling CMUD into a different directory and run it from there. Then create a new session icon for the MUD, but without any aliases, triggers, etc and see if just connecting to the MUD causes any problems. zMUD and CMUD share the same low-level network code, so it doesn't sound like the network. It sounds more like something in your CMUD settings.
Also, if you click the Offline button to load your session in CMUD, does the delay happen then, or when you actually connect to the MUD using the File/Connect option?
You should also post more info about your computer (memory, Windows version, etc). As I said, I haven't had any reports like this and I can't imagine anything in CMUD that would cause such a long delay with 100% CPU usage, so I'm guessing that there is something wrong with your session settings. |
