[1.21] Minor. Losing preferences over upgrades |
Pretty minor, it seems whenever I upgrade to a new version of CMUD then I lose my default ANSI colour settings and the 'Output Window Font' is reset back to Courier. The odd thing is that the 'Command Input Font', 'Edit Window Font' and 'Status Window Font' are remembered from the previous version.
This is changing in the 'Default Settings' module. |

This probably only happened because of the corruption problems in the 1.13 version. Have you done a clean install since then?

Not since, I'll do a clean install and keep an eye on it for 1.16

Still exists 1.18. Did a clean install of 1.17, then when upgrading to 1.18 it remembers all settings apart from ANSI colour and 'Output Window Font', which get set back to green text, courier new

This has happened on my Win2003 desktop and Vista laptop, and the laptop when it was XP Pro before through various version upgrades

Sounds like one of your packages is setting this value back somehow. The default "Output Window Font" in CMUD is "Courier" and not "Courier New". So if it is getting set to "Courier New" then it's something else that is causing this.
If you are talking about the Command line INPUT font, then this is set to "Courier New" by default. This is a global setting that is stored in your INI file. But as long as you are still using the same INI file from the previous version, this shouldn't be getting overwritten (upgrades don't modify your INI file). It's possible the bugs in 1.17 regarding the INI file location were causing this if you were talking about the INPUT font and not the OUTPUT font. |

Sorry, it was Courier after all. I tried again with 1.18-1.19 upgrade and same thing again.
To illustrate, another vid (sorry, but since there's no bug report to send then this seems to be an easy way).
Ignore the temporary error about CMUD.exe being in use at first, the video capture program was hogging resources so CMUD hadn't closed quickly enough.

It only shows the fonts, but the ANSI colour has reset to defaults too. |
