[1.17] quotes get removed |
If quotes are put at the beginning and end of a command line, regardless of how many are in between, the beginning and end quotes are stripped when the command line is sent to the mud.
ie:
| Code: |
Command line:
'rawr'
Output:
rawr
Command line:
'Hey everyone. I'm just on to say hi. hope everyone is doing 'okay'
Output:
Hey everyone. I'm just on to say hi. hope everyone is doing 'okay
|
Might be a feature, but thought I'd post it since a lot of muds use ' or " as their default say aliases. |

Hmm, this is only supposed to happen for double quotes " and not for single quotes. Looks like a bug to me, so I added it to the list. But for double-quotes, this would be the expected behavior...double-quotes around the command line cause the contents to be sent to the MUD verbatim with no parsing.
To force a line surrounded by double-quotes to be sent to the MUD *with* the quotes, just start the line with the new ` line-escape character. |
