[1.16] Right click paste option not working. |
1. Create any trigger/alias/whatever.
2. Put something in the script box.
3. Highlight the value you just entered.
4. Cut it or copy it.
5. Right click and see that the paste option is greyed out.
6. ctr-v works.
7. Edit paste works. |

I cannot reproduce this. I created a new alias, then entered "test" into the script box. Then I highlighted "test" and right-clicked and selected Cut. Then I right-clicked and selected Paste (and it wasn't greyed out). Can anyone else confirm this?

I couldn't reproduce this either, but I generated a crash while allowing my new alias to delete. I sent Zugg the stack trace.

I'll try a reinstall. But it still reliably happens to me even in clean settings.
And of course I did exactly what you did Zugg. Created the Alias in the GUI and in the command line. No difference. Paste was still greyed out for me on the right click menu. |

Typically options are greyed out when they are not valid. In this case, "valid" means that there is actually something in the clipboard to paste. Have you tried opening Notepad to see if you can paste the text in there? Maybe the text isn't getting into the clipboard somehow.

I can paste into notepad, the NOTES box, the params box, I can use control-v, I can use Edit->paste. Just not the right click paste. I'm about to do the clean install and will post back how it goes.

Strange how a clean install fixes it. Did you install over the top of an old version or something before?

That's *really* strange. I don't see how a clean install could fix this (or how it could get messed up in the first place). Really wierd.

Yes it is, and no, I didn't reboot during any of it.

I have been unable to reliably reproduce this, but it has happened to me as well. Sometimes CMUD stops listening to the clipboard as far as I can tell, even though testing proves that there are items in it.
