[3.08] Moving scroll bar in Settings Editor invokes New Setting |
Not sure what's causing this, but moving the scroll bar by dragging it attempts to create a new setting based on the last one selected.
Steps to reproduce:
1.) Open CMUD, escape to Untitled Session.
2.) Open Settings Editor.
3.) Create several settings (10-20 should be sufficient)
4.) If you need to, resize Editor window so that the vertical scroll bar appears.
5.) Click on any of the settings.
6.) Click on the scroll bar, slide it up or down. It'll attempt to create a new setting.
Very weird...

Sorry, I cannot reproduce this at all. Does anyone else have any luck with this on?
I actually cannot imagine any way for sliding a scrollbar to create a new setting. The only way to get a new setting when the tree view has the keyboard focus is by pressing the Insert key on the keyboard. So somehow sliding the scrollbar is causing spurious keystrokes or windows messages to be sent, which makes me think you have some other software installed on your computer that is interfering with the standard mouse or keyboard behavior. |

You're right. It's software related, though it boggles me still.
I use Babylon translator, and that's the only thing that I've had installed recently. I opened up a new session, followed the steps from above, and was able to reproduce it. Then I disabled it (didn't have to close the program at all, just disable it), and it doesn't do it anymore.
I am able to use Shift+Right click to get the definition/translation of a word, so I'm at a loss as to why it acts like an Insert. Thanks for the suggestion about software.
