Login cache display, and trigger loop disable problem |
I recently set up a trigger in one of my classes to send a "say n and e" command to my mud. I checked it and it came up with a loop and zmud prompted me to disable triggers so I did. Now, I have disabled it again, and restarted zmud. My problem is that zmud now opens and that trigger fires in a loop on startup. So I click the disable triggers button... unfortunately after this, my automapper doesn't work.... In addition when I start up zmud for one character zmud displays what appears to be about 10 or so lines of mud output even before I login. I figure that a variable or cache is loaded with these lines and that's why they show up. I have tried all I can think of to stop the trigger problem including disabling the entire class containing the trigger, i've even tried to disable the root class.... Any help would be appreciated

Ok, my bad. For some reason I had another trigger set up to do this in a different class than i thought.... so I've figured out the loop problem However, the 10 lines of description still show up when I log in...?

Room description? I believe, though not certain, this indicates some sort of minor corruption in your map. When the mapper window is included in your layout, this is what happens.
If it's just random mud output then somewhere you've got an alias, trigger, or something dumping itself to the window. I'd check global settings if this happens to different character icons, and if you use inherited settings I'd check there as well. If you can't find it via the Settings Editor, you may have to avail yourself of the Migration Guide to weed out the problematic setting. |
