15+ command disconnect

When I input an alias or put in more than 15 commands (anything 16+) in the command prompt and submit it(hit enter), all the commands will display on the display window, but none of them will go through, I will still see external text(such as other people running around the mud) but after about 5-10 seconds I am disconnected.

If I do just 15 commands, runs perfectly, no lag. 16+ commands, disconnect.

It did not used to have this problem, for there are speedwalking aliases that have always worked that now have this problem. I tried transfering the settings from my other computer that does not have this problem, but this did not fix it.

Any help?

Addition: This does not seem to be a lag issue at all, its a very fast computer, my ctrl+q time is very small, and if I spam the mud with commands, like putting 14 commands into the command prompt and submit it 3 times before anything happens, it will still go through fine. It just wont take 16+ commands from a single alias or command prompt for some reason.

I can't see it being a send delay issue or related.

Classic answer is upgrade your NIC card.

You could also try to see what is sent and received.

#DEBUG file1.txt file2.txt
Do your alias that crashes
#DEBUG

Then go check file1.txt and file2.txt to see what really happened.

Also, I am using zmud 4.62.

Your link does not seem to be there anymore, but I tried putting in the #debug file1.txt file2.txt and then put #DEBUG after my alias.

The file does not seem to log anything related to the alias. File just shows up blank. (File works though, it still seems to log everything else if I look and walk around).

4.62? Why such an old version? o_O

Is it possible that such an old version simply didn't support that many commands at once?

It was implemented in 6.6X.

Upgrade your zMud client. Probably a bug that got fixed in a later version.

If your sending 16 mud commands then it is probably your mud disconnecting you for spamming too many commands at once. If it is with 16 zmud commands then it is probably a bug with older versions.

In either case upgrade to the latest version its cheap and good!

If it were a spam disconnect, the drop would be instantaneous, not lingering like a bad case of lag.

I'll give upgrading a go, but the other computer also has 4.62, and it does not have this problem, same mud.

I dont think it is lag, because the 15 commands goes in perfectly, barely any slowdown with anything happening. But with 16, it seems to force-disconnect me. It is fairly weird, because none of my commands go through, and I cant put in any new ones, and a little while later, boom.

Does 4.62 have spam-protection? This might be kicking in if it does, though it could still be acting buggy as heck.

It has spam protect, but I messed with that setting, and in the end just transfered my setting file from my computer where it does not have this problem. Still happened, might just be buggy. *shrug*.
