Zmud won't close down |
Sometimes Zmud just starts acting strange so I close it down and restart it. Occasionally it will keep running once closed down (I can see it through task manager). I have to go into task manager and force it to shut down before I'm able to reopen the program.
Besides the obvious problem, is there a way to force Zmud to re-initialize itself when it is acting strange to avoid having to close it down and reopen it? |

Nope. Once loaded in memory it can't reload itself into memory because that would mean overwriting itself (Zugg purposely designed it so that only one instance could exist at a time, probably to avoid hassles with data permissions and overwriting). Digital suicide.

I've noticed the exact same behavior the op was talking about. It is as if something with zmud is stuck in a loop that consumes resources. When I close zmud, about half the time the process wont end. It's not being reloaded, its just not quiting. And it slowly consumes more and more system resources. If i dont kill the process it will slowly consume all the cpu cycles. Interstingly, the memory footprint doesn't grow, just the amount of CPU it is using. We started a thread about this the other day (by nutsandbolts) and there wasn't much response. How many triggers do you have? Maybe one of us should post them so people can check for leaks (though i don't think that seems like it would be causing this error) Anyway, you are not alone.
