zMUD game interference. |
This is my issue (and please don't move my post, I've paid you 30 bucks so I think I deserve to come back and find an answer here since I don't know the forums too well).
The issue: zMUD is using symbols like <, >, [, ], etc., that I need to be able to send to the game, but they vanish whenever I hit enter to send my text through. I've tried disabling all of the offending characters in the preferences > characters menu. Nothing has helped.
How do I solve this problem?

If you put a ~ in front of any zmud special character it makes it a regular key and will go throuh without a problem.

In the Script Parser section of the preferences, turn off 'Use <> for expansion' and 'Use [] for evaluation'.
Also when sending text that contains many special character it is best to start the line with a quote. For example:
"say This @line has :< many !& >; symbols I don't want interpretted. |
