Trying to use Paths, freezing connection on mud |
I just purchased zmud and I am trying to run paths on a mud called Dragon Swords. When I input the directions into the directions and try to run it, it will move me one room (in this case down), and then it will just stop, and I will have to reconnect to the mud.
Is there a step Im missing here, or is there something special that needs to be done? I admit I am new to zmud, well especially these newer versions, so I guess im a bit of a fledgling. Any help pleasE?
Thanks for your time in advance,
Chris |

Sounds like you are set up for slow mode without an #OK trigger. In Slow mode, Zmud is looking for a line of text that has been defined as "Ok, I can go now". This line must appear within the timeout duration found in the Slowwalk/Speedwalk Preferences, otherwise ZMud aborts the walk.
There is a place within those Preferences to create this trigger, but if you already know what you want it to be you can just create it manually (Zugg puts it by default in the Slowwalk class folder, but I don't think it's required to be there.)
#trigger {your prompt or other text here} {#noop stuff you might have in your prompt trigger already goes here;#OK} |

how are you "the directions into the directions"?
are you using:
"Actions, Make Path"
#PATH {place} {.directions}
#PATH {place} {n;s;e;w}
or what?
And do you know if your mud prevents speedwalking? |
