Help with: Time change |
Zmud crashed on me and is now saying that my clock has changed. There was no change made to time or date settings. The utility that zmud has to check the time is unable to contact woever it is trying to verify the time with. I am doing this from work and they do have a proxy for http. When entering in the proxy info it is unable to connect to the internet. This utility should beable to contact whoever without proxy setting. after trying to connect it says that it was unable to update my clock. What to do?

I unistalled and reinstalled zmud. When trying to re-register my licence it gives me error 12004 check your clock. It looks as though there is no way around this. Another thing to consider is that the licence utility is able to contact the locence server with no proxy settings.

I have never seen this with the License, only with the trial version.
It is Zmuds protection against people who would abuse the free time of the trial version.
Zmud does not check with the internet and neither does the E-licence, Zug considers that invasion of privacy and does not use that type of security. It is very likly your clock was wrong the first time you installed Zmud and did not just notice.
The internal clock on all computers while on the a net or a stand alone work the same though
double click your clock and choose tab "Time Zone" at the bottom uncheck the box marked "automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes" hit ok and see if that helps.
If not then you clock was wrong the first time you installed Zmud, you will have to open the clock again and fix this the only way I know how.
Select tab "Internet Time" uncheck the box that automatically checks the internet.
Then click "date & time" tab and try setting the day ahead by 1 day try starting Zmud then.
Keep setting the day ahead until it works.
For someone using the free version this would run out his/her time permanitly.
It would also keep the clock on you computer wrong forever.
Again I have not heard of this problem for a licensed Zmud, in fact I just tried it and it made no difference when I set my clock back.
It would only matter if a person was tring to get a licence on a computer where the clock is already messed up.
reformatting the hard drive will solve this problem, BUT I strongly suggest you do not do that as it will erase everything on your hard drive. However if ti is a work computer, you could just say it crashed and you don't know what happend-hehehehe |
