Application Keypad? |
I got an Icon that looks like the A on a keypad that means Macros, but it says Application Keypad On.
What the heck is that? and how the heck do i get rid of it? For that matter what might have brought it up?
Just happened the other day and don't know why. |

It isn't anything in zMud. Most likely it is something provided by your computer manufacturer, because I can't recall anything looking like that in a standard windows install. I would say check the manuals, then hunt around in the control panel.

Wow, I sit corrected. Never heard of or seen that before and I know it isn't documented.
Going to have to get Zugg to answer on this. I will PM him and ask for a reply to this topic. |

The Application Keypad is a VT100 feature. The MUD is sending a VT100 control code to zMUD to activate the Application Keypad mode. What it does it map the keypad so that it sends different character codes than normal. Back in the VT100 days, programs did this to use the numeric keypad for various editing functions.
In any case, yes, this is a feature in zMUD. You can turn this off by disabling the VT100 emulation option in your preferences or contact your MUD and find out why they are putting your terminal into application keypad mode. |
