Output window does not save maximized

Hi,

When I close the program, and restart it, the window has to be maximized again. I tried Layout, Save Layout, and Settings, Save. Does anyone know a way to save the state of the window?

I think this will work but I don't want to test it myself.
#AL atconnect {#MENU {Layout|Maximize}}

When I type alias, I get the following:
Aliases:
atconnect
onwalkend
onroomcreate
onroomenter
atexit
atdisconnect
recall ~recall %-1;#RECALL
atconnect #MENU {Layout|Maximize}

The alias was added as a duplicate. I think it should override the existing "atconnect" alias. When I connected to the mud, the output window had to be maximized. I want to know if it is possible to save the layout with the window maximized after exiting the program.

Thanks.

Since you've already tried every way you can think of to save the window size and it doesn't stay the size you want, then obviously you can't save the window the size you want it.

Two atconnect aliases is normal. The first atconnect alias is an inherited setting. It's blank. It can be ignored. The second alias is in your primary settings and overrides the inherited one.

I'm sorry if the alias doesn't do what you want. If you can find a way of doing what you want using the menus, then you can use a similar alias to do that when you connect. It's the best I can think of. Good luck.

Going off what Lightbulb said, saving the layout or saving setting should make the window return maximized when it loads. Since that isn't working I will make an atload trigger.

#TR atload {*.501} {#MENU {Layout|Maximize}} "" {alarm}
#COND {} {} {manual}

This should create an alarm that fires in the first half a second after loading, it then goes to a second state which never fires on its own, this means that the alarm only fires once then is deactivated, but automatically reactivates with each load since trigger state is not saved.

The trigger is not activating with each load. On the command line, I have this line:

Quote:
#TR atload {*.501} {#MENU {Layout|Maximize}} "" {alarm}

For the COND in the trigger, I did these steps:

1. Triggers
2. Edit Trigger
3. Pattern

Quote:
#COND {} {} {Manual}

4. Save

When I load zMUD, and type TR, I get this:

Triggers:
Autolog: What name do you wish? -> #CH
Autolog: Welcome back to Primal Darkness, please enter your password: -> #PW;#T- autolog
+ ->

The trigger is not being saved.

I could not find a way to do what I want using the menus. The trigger should be right. Is the functionality not available in zMUD?

Enter Vigilantes COMPLETE trigger at the command line and hit enter

Vijilante's trigger is an alarm. It won't be listed by #TRIGGER. It will by listed by #ALARM. If you can't find a menu command which resizes the windows you want them, then it won't really matter where the trigger is shown since it relies, just as my alias did, on a menu command. It may be a nuisance, but I think you'll just have to get used to resizing your window with the mouse.
