Logging, with new .txt for each new day.

Greetings..
I am wondering if there is a script or at least does someone have a trigger set up
to create a log and save a log that will not append 1 log, or overwrite the past log?

basically I want a log for each day I log in... the appended log for 1 month of me
playing ended up being a little over 5meg in size. thats alot of stuff to filter thru
to get to one section.

my current log script is pretty simple right now...

#log character.txt
#show %time( )

any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Create alias named 'atconnect' and in value window write:
#LO %time( "d mmmmm yyyy")
Then when you connect to the mud, the log file will be names the day that it will be.

PostPosted: Thu Jul 22, 2004 4:43 pm   Logging works.. any way to suppress combat?

the new log snippet I am using is nice, does exactly what it is supposed to, but is there a way to suppress combat actions from the log?

I am not entirely sure how to use any of the built in stuff, so I dont know where to look for something that would suppress text from combat.

any input would be appreciated.

The %time() function simply checks the time on the system, and returns it in the specified format. Check the help file on the function as regards to the different formats.
