Duplicate trigger/aliases etc. |
I use NotePad to edit my triggers/aliases etc. and then import them.
Now I have a huge problem. zMUD seems at some point of time to duplicate my settingsfile(triggers/aliases) and loading that file along with the file im working with. After that some of my triggers begin to fire twice, I cannot edit them, or I edit them, but thers still that hidden copy, which I cant figure where resides, which still fires my old(not edited) trigger. I can ofcourse Export all my triggers/aliases etc., make a new connection and import settings to a fresh set-up, but thats a pain in the ***. I think I remember 5 years ago, when I first began playing MUDs zMUD had a similar problem with duplicating settings by saving custom things in inherited file and thus loading them twice, once for custom file and secondly with inherited file. I cant work this one myself. I hope someone can help me.

Ok, I think Ive figured this out. The files settings for both Inherited and User settings files pointed at the same file in the current mud directory. Ive changed the name of the user file and hope that now it works.
