Zmud Map Suggestion - Merge

Zugg,

Is it possible for the merge stacked room functionality to merge a whole bunch of rooms all at once.

To clearify,

I start mapping a maze and go one direction and map about 50 rooms, I come back to the start of the maze and go another direction and map another 50 or so rooms.

Reviewing the map, I determine that about 20 of the rooms I mapped going the two different routes are really the same rooms. The maze just looped back.

So, I drag there 20 rooms ontop of the other 20 rooms so thay stack up.

using the mouse I left click in the top left corner and box/select all the rooms that at stacked. I would then Like to goto the menu and select merge stacked rooms to merge all the rooms. I don't want the 20 rooms to merge into 1 room, I want the 20 rooms that are stacked on top of 20 other rooms to merge into 20 unique rooms all at once.

Currently when I do this, it only merges one set of stacked rooms at a time.

I find myself having to do this a lot and it end up taking a lot of time to manually merge them all.

Unfortunately this is very difficult to do. All zMUD can do right now is merge a single stack of rooms. It doesn't matter what rooms are selected or not. zMUD just looks for any room in the same (or very close) X,Y,Z position and merges those rooms. Merging is a very complex task that requires a lot of database queries to determine the rooms to merge and which exits are valid and which needs to be removed. Making this operation more complicated than it already is would probably be a bad idea.

Merging is a bit faster in the newer version using the memory cache, but it's still a highly complex operation.

But since you don't have to select the rooms, just right-click on a stack of rooms and select the Merge option.
