#Log command

I'm having some difficulties getting tis command to create a log to a specific directory. It keeps defaulting the file to the root directory on my C: drive.

My directory is quite lengthy, would this be the reason because there is a size limit?

Here is my command:

#log C:Documents and SettingsXXXXMy DocumentsXXXXXXXXXXXLogs@VMychar-%time( mm-dd-yy).txt

Any ideas? Thanks.

Put the path in braces or quotes with concat. Currently the log is trying to write to "C:Documents".

#log {C:Documents and SettingsXXXXMy DocumentsXXXXXXXXXXXLogs@VMychar-%time( mm-dd-yy).txt}
or
#log %concat("C:Documents and SettingsXXXXMy DocumentsXXXXXXXXXXXLogs",@VMychar,"-",%time( mm-dd-yy),".txt")

Both should work to make the whole path treated as a single parameter.

Thank you, that worked great.

One more question. When I do log from the file menu, it will log the scrollback buffer. But, when I use the #log command, it starts the log without the scrollback buffer.

Any idea how to get it to log the buffer too?

Yes. Do the log from the menu. You can use the #MENU command to do it, but you will have to fill in the file dialog exactly as if you had selected it from the menu.
