identify trigger |
Ok first of here is the data I get when I do a identify.
Name: blah blah blah
Weight: 35
Value: 0
Min Level: 1
Item is: NODECAY NOLOCATE
Affections:
Detects evil creatures.
Detects invisible items or characters.
Senses hidden lifeforms.
Detects good creatures.
Basically what Im trying ot do is capture to a database.
I have figured everything out except for the Affections section.
What I want to do is have the trigger loop through this section, and
place each item into a field (ex. affect1, affect2, affect3, affect4)
Any help appreciated. |

My oh my does anyone out there now how to search this forum?
I am truly sorry but this has been talked to death.
There are literly hundreds of ways to do this and all of those ways are here in this form left by very wonderful people.
anyways
example:
#CLASS {catch}
#VAR new {}
#VAR newrec {}
#TRIGGER {Affections:} {#T+ cetchitall;#temp {^$} {#t- cetchitall;#loop 1,%numitems(@new) {#addkey newrec affects%i %item(@new,%i)}}}
#TRIGGER {Affections:} {#T+ cetchitall;#temp {^$} {#t- cetchitall;#loop 1,%numitems(@new) {#addkey newrec affects%i %item(@new,%i)}}}
#CLASS 0
#CLASS {catch|cetchitall}
#TRIGGER {(*).} {#additem new "%1"}
#CLASS 0 |
