GSL

This trigger type seems to have something to do with Simutronics games, which i play. It seems to keep track of hp and such automatically without any input appearing on the screen. Is this part of GSL? And if it can get this info without a prompt, does that mean it can (in the future) also get rt and other stuff that the current offical frontend for simutronics games seems to get from reading invisible messages? I couldn't find anything in the help files on gsl except a function to get the last gsl recived. Thanks for your time.

I got some of this figured out. However, these doesn't seem to be any way to have more complicated GSL triggers. I want to do something like capture all the text between two GSL triggers.

In gemstone, critters are surrounded by GSL L and GSL M, in the middle of these 2 is the critter name. Perhaps a way to either access that name directly as stored in L or M, or a way to make a trigger than can store that information into %1 or something so that i can then highlight it.

Any ideas?

I can't confirm this, but according to the article on Simutronic's games in the Support Library, you would need to put "L" (without the double-quotes and in uppercase) as the pattern and then %1 would contain critter's name. It may also be "M" instead of "L", but you should be able to check this in the preferences too by seeing what zMUD receives with each tag.

The GSL trigger type is one of the additions to the latest beta version (6.50), so this question really should be on the Beta forum. If you don't already have access to the Beta forum, click here, read the agreement, and then click Okay.
