How do I pull strings out of the main window and display them on say a status window. An example is like what creatures are there so it displays, in the status window, 2 somethings 1 somethigns...

How can i parse out the info in this string.

485h, 550m ex-

so that i can store the 485h as a health var and stick it in a status bar. What is the correct syntax to complete this?
